FIDA Scholarship Program
FIDA continued with the successful scholarship program, supporting a total of 24 students in 2021-22, ranging from Std. XI to TY B. Comm and T.Y. Mech. Engg. students.

Career Guidance and Development Plan
The Career Guidance and Development Program was successfully completed for the benefit of FIDA scholarship recipients in association with Dheya in August 2021.
Pune School and Home for the Blind
FIDA provided the Pune School and Home for the Blind 2 x Kibo XS devices, a scanning and reading device which helps visually impaired students to listen translate and digitize printed and hand written content using computers and screen reading software.
FIDA Special Project 2021 – Mr. Ashish Ban
The FIDA team recently came across Mr. Ashish Ban wandering the streets close to the FIDA office. Ashish is visually impaired and was asking passers-by to support his education and clear his 12th standard. He completed his 10th standard in 2017-18.
Ashish was taken to the FIDA office and after making him comfortable, a case profile was built after completion of our due diligence.
Experts in the field of visually impaired learning were consulted and Ashish was set up with a refurbished laptop and specialized software, after the approval of this special project by the FIDA Board of Trustees.
Ashish has thanked FIDA and its members for their generosity in helping him pursue his education. He has also started exploring opportunities to work as a tele-operator using his new laptop.
Education Support
Bhor Ashramshala
FIDA donated 1,000 notebooks, 50 question/answer sets and several sports kits to the Govt. Sec. Ashram School in Bhor district. In addition, FIDA distributed books of 21 most likely questions on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day of India on 26 Jan 2022.
Fund Raising
Vinod Menon
Vinod Menon, a FIDA Foundation member, completed a difficult non-stop cross country race of 80 miles in Yorkshire and raised funds for FIDA. Well done Vinod, and a big THANK YOU!
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of FIDA was conduced on 29th Jan 2022 at 6pm IST via zoom platform for the financial year ended 31 March 2021. Review of the work up until now was done and discussion on Activities for the coming financial year was discussed.
Meeting was addressed by FIDA President Shailesh Dubhashi, while Secretary Vishwajit Jathar gave overall review of the activities. Tushar Budhale gave an overview of matters related to finance while Rajiv Shah proposed vote of thanks.
