Jagriti Yatra for social entrepreneurship

FIDA has been partnering with the Jagriti Yatra to sponsor young women from the rural districts of India on a 15-day national train journey that covers 7,500 kms across the length and breadth of India, where they get the opportunity to interact with inspiring role models such as Joe Madiath (Founder, Gram Vikas), Narayan Murthy (Founder, Infosys), Bunker Roy (Founder, Barefoot College). Sachin Desai (Founder, School Without Walls), Subroto Bagchi (Founder, Mindtree), Dr.S.Aravind (Chief Medical Officer, Aravind Eye Care System)  and Anshu Gupta (Founder, Goonj) and experience grass root level initiatives in the rural hinterlands of the country. The main aim of the yatra is to create awareness and awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship.
